One, they are produced by keyboard players, and reflect what keyboard players would do (and that's who they sell to, keyboard players). Now that said, I know a lot of people slam NI's demos, but frankly I think
My motive for inquiring was because I thought I could do a better job on demos for them. It did help that I have a track record as a programmer, they knew who I was. Some product demos for them (and got the products free) as a result. I did a few years back, I emailed NI and offered my services. I'm not saying this sarcastically, or to be insulting. Wouldn't be the first NI VI to be sold short by the official NI demos, so I am aware it doesn't necessarily reflect on what it's capable of, but man. Kubi wrote:I'm sure the VI is nice (although as a bass player I can't bring myself to buy a virtual bass.) but sheesh, that demo track is hi-de-ously fake sounding. If I knew the answer to that right now, I would decide to buy - or wait - right now.
Changing scarbee rickenbacker bass ni outputs upgrade#
His work is always impeccable.Ĭan't wait to get this (even though I'm a bass player - I'm shite at picking), but want to see if I can get it with my Komplete upgrade (which, in honor of Waves, I think I'm going to refer to hereafter as a "NUPdate"). NI buying out Scarbee was one of the smartest things NI ever did. When Skarbye ran his own boat, his pricing and offers were always extremely transparent and always upgradable to bundles for the difference in cost. I'll forgive them when VO becomes as good and as flexible as B4.Īgreed, other than that this is Scarbee as marketed by NI. NI has made some pretty piss poor choices in the past, I still can't quiet forgive them for the b4-II / Vintage Organs debacle. Though, let's give credit where credit is due. It's a good system, and this isn't to put down anyone. Basically, they contract with him to do all the best work, and just cover the basics themselves. I love Scarbee's offerings, NI not so much.
